Hi, I’m Dalia.
I spent the last 15 years doing what I do best: creative communications, content strategy and storytelling in a variety of shapes and forms. This gave me the opportunity to be part of global events, infrastructure projects, multinational organizations, and to work on purpose-driven campaigns across the UAE, GCC, Middle East and Europe.
Throughout my career, I’ve been a sort of bridge, working closely with executive leadership, public sector stakeholders, and international partners to translate complex information into narratives people can relate to and act on within education, culture, sustainability, transport infrastructure, health tech, and social impact.
Most recently, I managed narrative development for Hafeet Rail, a UAE–Oman government-backed cross-border rail project, shaping how a national infrastructure initiative was presented across media, public, and stakeholder channels.
Prior to that, I headed Marketing & Communications for the Education and Culture division at Expo 2020 Dubai and Expo City Dubai, overseeing storytelling and public engagement for cultural programming, COP28 programs, sustainability, and legacy projects reaching over one million participants.
Earlier in my career, I crafted and led campaigns for brands including Unilever, ALDAR, HSBC, Johnson & Johnson, Mondelez, IBM, Apple, Vice Arabia, the Road & Transport Authority (RTA) and others, spanning brand, digital, film, experiential, UX, and integrated communications.
I’m fluent in English, French, and Arabic, and particularly experienced in working across cultures, institutions, and disciplines to align narrative with strategy.
Now based in Toronto, I’m interested in roles where creative communications, public engagement, and multi-stakeholder initiatives intersect, especially across government, infrastructure, sustainability, culture, innovation, and international partnerships.
In case you’re interested, here’s a little more about me:
I spent the first 2 years of my adult life trying to become a dentist, just like my dad, but decided to take up journalism and English literature instead.
I backpacked across Rajasthan, India before Eat. Pray. Love. came out (the book, not the movie), caught a glimpse of the Dalai Lama and volunteered as an English teacher.
I wrote and published 3 children’s books; the latest of which, Tomorrow is Another Day, recently received the International Award for Arabic Children’s Literature, Early Reader category.
